Our Story
At Ran By Nature, inclusivity and sustainability in activewear are the top priority. Through research and participation in the sport and fitness industry, we discovered the lack of diversity and disregard for the environment is excluding great swathes of people from exercise.
This is why we want to make a difference by designing and creating inclusive activewear for all athletes that are eco-friendly. From custom length leggings, to a sports hijab, we take all bodies into consideration, because we know one size does not fit all.
We’re seasonless, inclusive and sustainable as standard. And we make clothing that will help you perform.
Our Mission
It’s no surprise that nature is a big part of our brand. We like admiring it, playing sports in it, and protecting it. That’s why all of our clothes are made to order from certified recycled fabrics, organic cotton threads and trimmings. Head to our sustainability page to find out more
And because a huge part of our mission is about giving back and including everyone, we have pledged £1 from every order to charity too. We switch up who we support for different products, so check our socials to find out more.
Our dream is to become a B corp so we can put all of our profits back into charities and initiatives that get underrepresented groups into sports and activity. Maybe that’s funding a disabled person to become a personal trainer or helping to sponsor a BAME swimming club in the UK.
For now, we’re happy to start our journey here with you and we thank you for supporting us.
Our Founder
Ran By is an anagram of Bryna, the name of our inspiring founder.
Born in England but now based abroad, she is an Associate Professor in Exercise Science (just 37% of academics in sport & exercise science in the UK are women - compared to 47% across all other disciplines) who spends her time researching the effects of heat and humidity (climate change) on exercise performance and health in underrepresented groups.
Bryna is an athlete too and as a racewalker for GB who took part in an ultramarathon for 'Free to Run', a charity that supports women in high-conflict areas, she has seen first hand why a brand like Ran by Nature is needed.
She founded Ran by Nature in 2020 and since then has built a sportswear brand from scratch that caters to everyone while being sleek, stylish and environmental.
