At Ran By Nature, activism is the top priority. It's time to ditch diet-culture for good. And heal your relationship with your body and exercise.
From adaptive crop tops, to a sports hijab. Choosing what to wear to workout won't ever feel like a chore again.
There's no other activewear out there that's more down to earth. Nature is a big part of my brand. I like admiring it, playing sports in it, and protecting it. That’s why I only use certified recycled fabrics, organic cotton threads and trimmings. Head to the sustainability page to find out more.
And because a huge part of my mission is about giving back and including everyone, I have pledged £1 from every order to charity too. I switch up who I support, so check the product pages to find out more.
My dream is to become a B corp so I can put more profits back into charities and initiatives that get historically marginalized people moving. Maybe that’s funding a disabled person to become a personal trainer or helping to sponsor a BAME swimming club in the UK.
For now, I'm excited to start my journey here with you. Thank you for supporting me!
Ran By is an anagram of Bryna. Yes hi, that's me!.
Originally from Yorkshire - I have always loved the outdoors (and exercise). I am an Associate Professor in Exercise Science (just 37% of academics in sport & exercise science in the UK are women - compared to 47% across all other disciplines), and my research focusses on the effects of heat and humidity (climate change) on exercise performance and health in women.
As a junior athlete I competed for Great Britain in racewalking. Although I still compete from time-to-time. My reasons for moving are now very different. I use sport and exercise to create positive change. Whether that's completing an ultramarathon for 'Free to Run', a charity that supports women in high-conflict areas. Or logging my exercise for Earth Runs For Trees. I know first hand why a brand like Ran by Nature is needed.
I founded Ran by Nature in 2020 and since then I've built this activewear brand from scratch. My mission is to use the athletic wear as activism in fitness and fashion.
